Full Mesh Router
A protocol bridge and mesh backbone that routes, translates, and posts messages between systems and services.
A Meshtastic® + MeshCore™ mesh router & API / AI bridge — your off-grid mesh, supercharged.
MESH-API bridges LoRa mesh networks with AI chatbots and third-party APIs in real time. Run Meshtastic, MeshCore, or both — with cross-network routing, agentic AI control, and a modern WebUI dashboard. Even fully off-grid.

MESH-API is an experimental router and AI bridge for LoRa mesh networks. It's a protocol bridge and mesh backbone that lets LoRa networks, online or locally-hosted services, and any API talk to each other in real time. Hook up an AI and your mesh answers questions, runs commands, and routes messages — even fully off-grid.
A protocol bridge and mesh backbone that routes, translates, and posts messages between systems and services.
Run local models (Ollama, LM Studio) or any cloud provider, so decisions and answers keep flowing without the internet.
Any software with a working API can be integrated through 30+ drop-in extensions and the MCP server.
From multi-radio routing to agentic AI, emergency alerts, and a draggable dashboard.
Meshtastic, MeshCore, or both — with cross-network routing between the two.
OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Grok, OpenRouter, Groq, DeepSeek, Mistral, Hermes, plus local LM Studio / Ollama and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint.
Discord, Matrix, Mastodon, MQTT, APRS, BBS, weather, alerts and more — add or remove by copying a folder.
Agentic AI control of the mesh via the Model Context Protocol — bearer-token auth, disabled by default.
Twilio SMS, SMTP email, and Discord — with GPS coordinates and UTC timestamps.
Leaflet map with 25 tile providers and offline map-image support for fully off-grid use.
Customizable, per-install randomized AI command aliases to avoid collisions across meshes.
Draggable panels, collapsible channel groups, notification sounds, and per-node controls.
Detects connected devices and notifies you when Meshtastic, MeshCore, or MESH-API updates are available.
MeshCore is a first-class, core-owned radio on equal footing with Meshtastic — connecting over serial, TCP, or BLE. Run one, the other, or both with MESH-API as the cross-network bridge.
The classic setup. Plug in a Meshtastic node and every command, AI feature, and extension works natively.
Fully standalone — no Meshtastic device required. MeshCore traffic flows through the same network-agnostic pipeline.
MESH-API sits in the middle as a man-in-the-middle router, optionally bridging chat between the two networks.
Twelve providers supported, plus agent integrations like OpenClaw. Run offline with Ollama or LM Studio for AI that works with no internet at all.
Offline-first: local models (Ollama, LM Studio) keep your mesh intelligent with zero internet dependency.
Drop a folder into extensions/ — no core changes. Manage everything from the WebUI Extensions Manager.
Discord, Slack, Telegram, Matrix, Signal, WhatsApp, Mattermost, Zello, MQTT, Mastodon, IMAP and the n8n workflow-automation bridge.
Apprise, Ntfy, Pushover, PagerDuty, OpsGenie.
NWS Alerts, OpenWeatherMap, USGS Earthquakes, GDACS, Amber Alerts, NASA Space Weather.
Winlink, APRS, BBS.
Home Assistant conversation routing with optional PIN security.
Cross-network routing between Meshtastic and MeshCore.
OpenClaw and channel-assigned AI agents.
A documented plugin API with hooks, routes and background threads.
MESH-API exposes its core functions and every extension as MCP tools at POST /mcp,
so external AI agents — Claude, Perplexity, Hermes, custom agents — can drive your Meshtastic
and/or MeshCore networks as an agentic backend.
Bearer-token auth, origin validation, and rate limiting. Disabled by default — there's always a human in the loop.

MESH-API partners with and powers the LiftSignal Skymarker — a quickly deployable tethered balloon beacon for emergency signaling and off-grid communication. Skymarker uses MESH-API for integration pathways: API-driven alerts, dashboards, monitoring, and mesh-aware features across Meshtastic and MeshCore.
